Meet your guide and set out on the around 2-hour climb by twilight. After a challenging uphill hike, arrive at the 9, 066-foot (1, 717-meter) summit between 5.30am and 6am, and reward yourself with a delicious breakfast and hot coffee as you await the sunrise.

My guide for the hike was really sweet and the summit was beautiful. We stopped at a small coffee-tasting place (for delicious coffee) and then headed to the rafting excursion in Ubud, which was quite fun! Communication was easy and clear, and everything was on time. This tour was absolutely amazing! Our driver Dede was so nice and personable and made sure we were happy the whole time. It was really nice to have a private driver so your day goes more at your pace instead of feeling the need to keep up with others. I was a little sore from hiking the day before so the volcano hike was pretty rough on my knees but our guide mangku was great allowing us to stop as frequently as I needed to while still keeping an eye on the time so we’d make it to the top by sunrise. The view up there was insanely beautiful. And we definitely appreciated the coffee when we got to the top. And there were a few dogs up there which is always a bonus. After, the coffee tour was nice because we had some time to rest in between. The views were gorgeous and the people were very nice. We got to sample all the coffees and teas (we didn’t try the Luwak coffee but we saw the little furry creatures). You can purchase Luwak coffee if you want to try it or coffees or teas to take home with you which we did. White water rafting was amazing and so much fun. The stairs down and the stairs to get back up were rough on my knees by this point so I would definitely recommend being rested and fresh before going on this tour package. But so worth it. There were monkeys and a waterfall and stone carvings. Our guide Maddi made us feel very safe and was having fun with us which was just awesome. Truly an incredible experience on its own and our guides and Dede made it even better. What an incredible day. I would recommend it to everyone. When in Bali!Alyssa G

This trip is definitely worth every minute. We got our own private driver Dede who was amazing. He was always making sure we were happy and comfortable. Playing music if we wanted, saying we can sleep on the drive, and being super cheerful the whole time. He even got to come on the rafting trip with us since we didn’t have too many people. Waking up that early definitely hurts, but is worth it. On the hike, mangku let us go as quick or slow as we wanted. It was a little more difficult than we expected but we made it slowly but surely. Everyone kept saying it was going to be cold, but we would have been fine with a light long sleeve for the top and just regular hiking clothes. The view is amazing and learning some of the things about the volcano was neat. At the plantation we got a quick tour where they explain the different types of coffee and the roasting processes. We got to see a lewak. There are cute spots to take photos with a view and we got tasters of all of the coffee and teas. The white water rafting is beautiful. There were monkeys and butterflies and a Komodo dragon. To get to the river there is a trek down a lot of stairs which was rough after the morning trek even though we rested between. The water felt great after that. Maddi, our rafting guide made sure we were safe, pulled the raft up when we got stuck, and had a lot of fun with us by pretending there were crocodiles. At the end there was another trek up stairs. Still beautiful. Our day was amazing and I’m really glad we went. The only advice I’d have is to make sure you are rested and ready for all of the treks.Justin B

We started our day at 1:30 am from Seminyak hotel and Komung was right on time for the same. We started our day at 1:30 am from Seminyak hotel and Komung was right on time for the same. After a 2 hour smooth drive reached Mt Batur base where we met Susy our guide who was a pro at it, trekked about 90 mins and relaxed on the top with a picturesque view of the sun rise with breakfast (Top marks for Susy for the same). Returned to base an visited coffee plantations and had Luwak Coffee for the first time. Proceeded to White water rafting which was executed tremendously well. As I didn't have IDR with me Mr. Komang (our driver) helped and requested me to execute after I get a good rate at Seminyak for conversion. The cherry on the cake was Komang and us singing Bollywood numbers and sharing memories. Special accolades to Komang for the entire trip . A grade , highly recommended.
