An incredible experience exploring Whitehaven, the Whitsunday islands and Hill Inlet viewpoint. I snorkelled and scuba dived the outer reef 10 years ago and the Whitsunday islands / fringing reef (Mantaray Bay + Cockatoo Point) was on par, no doubt about it. The team on Thundercat are great fun and super helpful. ALSO, a massive shoutout to Travel Shack / Whitsunday Adventures who guided me and my friends through what the day entailed amongst other trips we booked with them. Highly recommend also.

Well organised day trip, with efficient friendly staff. The tour doesn't visit the main Whitehaven beach, just the north end near the lookout, which to us was disappointing. The snorkelling at 2 different locations was good, one had lots of fish which came in to be fed, the other area had more coral. The boat itself is basic so its important to know you may be wet most of the day, with your belongings wet too, depending on how calm or rough the water / winds are. On the way out and back we were hit with spray soaking us, and they had to use the tender to take us off the beach to the boat and we got completely drenched again. We still enjoyed lots of the day, the sites are definitely worth visiting, we just wouldnt choose that style of boat again. Probably more suitable for the young and adventurous.

We had the best hosts with Loz and Shannon. They were so professional and their knowledge of the reef was next level. They made the experience so fun and entertaining!. We loved the whole experience from start to finish. Great lunch as well !

We had such a fun time with Red Cat Adventures! Despite the weather not being the most ideal, we still had an extremely fun day with the crew! Our main guide who went by McLovin (totally forget her real name) had us laughing the entire time and was very knowledgeable on the areas. We stopped at White Haven for the lookout, swam a bit at the beach then went to 2 different snorkelling spots before heading back. A couple snacks were provided (brownies and some fruit) and a light lunch of various salads and make your own sandwich. Overall, had a great time and would totally recommend Red Cat to explore the Whitsundays 🫶

Red Cats picked us up at the nearest point to our hotel and then we were taken to the port for a safety brief, gear, instructions etc. The boat was sturdy, the weather was good on the day we visited and our guides were good. 'Emily' our guide from the Red Cats was really helpful and we had a great time. We visited the Whitehaven Beach from 10.45-12.15. We were then taken to a snorkelling location at the Hook Island. We snorkelled there for about 45 minutes & then off to another snorkelling location which was the highlight - what a beautiful reef. Snacks & light lunch was provided. Pls ensure you used the washrooms on the port/ Whitehaven beach as the boat has a really tiny one which can be difficult. We had a fun day with Red Cats!

Our trip with the thunder cat was absolutely amazing! Good music that fit the vibe throughout the whole day and an amazing crew that had energy enough for all 30 of us! We saw some amazing views of the whitsundays and whitehaven beach as well as some great views of the barrier reef. The captain PK and his second man baby Thor made us laugh throughout the day, and went above and beyond to show us their backyard. Unbelievably amazing! Thank you from Sweden!

What a great day out! Will and Dave were awesome hosts. Having multiple stops broke up the day on the boat. Whitehaven beach was gorgeous and the snorkeling at Manta Ray Bay was amazing. The snacks and lunch were also yummy.

Big shout out to Mike who was amazing with my 13 year old daughter when she was frightened on the boat, he was extremely reassuring for her. 🙏

Red cat adventures made our day worth every cent. They made sure my partner had a great birthday and made sure everybody on the boat enjoyed their day! Red cat crew made the trip exciting and they were all so knowledgeable and can tell why they love their jobs. Definitely recommend everyone to go with red cat to enjoy your day. They’ll spot out the best snorkelling spots and even find nemo for you

Very friendly, informative and helpful crew. We had 2-2.5m swells and 20 knot winds for one leg of the tour and everybody absolutely loved the ride. What a thrill. Will and Laura made sure we all had a good time and could not have been better at thier respective roles while underway and while snorkelling. To be fair, the inner reef is looking pretty washed out these days and a trip to the outer reef is recommended if the budget allows. Up to you.

Can't say I would recommend this crew for everyone. I have slight mobility issues - 2 new knees and they were not very helpful. One of the crew in the water was and to be honest if you have mobility or age issues forget this one. They drop you off at Whitehaven on the other side of the island and it is a 20 minute walk they say - which it probably is if you are fit and healthy but if you are not forget it. One lady on our trip didn't make it up the first hill before the walk down the other side. The only toilet on the island is at the top of the island after a very steep climb overlooking the beautiful beach at Whitehaven - she didn't make that either! The toilet they advertise on board is a wee round barrel - don't know how to describe it other than that. Again if you have mobility issues you will not get in it so to sum up the lady who was not terribly mobile did probably not manage a toilet all day and couldn't even get in the water as getting on the stinger suit was not really an option for her either. They should explain that when booking or checking in that your experience might be hindered by mobility and offer you a refund. I was never asked if a small, awkwardly located toilet would be an issue and I'm pretty sure it wasn't explained to her either. Anyway this is not her review but mine so to continue it was an okay experience. The food offered was nice at lunch so no complaints there. There is one tour that actually takes you into the Whitehaven beach but not sure of the comfort of the ride. All the others take you to the back of the island and you have to hike. Wear comfortable shoes - this was not on the leaflet but I would recommend. There are no hand rails on the climb either so forget it if you are not good on your feet or are comfortable on stairs.

Fabulous day out on redcat boat tours, snorkeling swimming and fun actioned day on the water. Wouldn’t have been the same without captain PJ and Joel , great music and great company

Donna picked us up on the bus and was on time and so friendly. We knew straight away we were in for a great day! Check in was super organised and easy too. Had a wonderful day with the experienced and well informed Shannon and Loz. Clearly they love what they do and love the reef as well! Thanks for a fantastic day! You guys are the best. Definitely recommend this tour!

Loz and Shannon were awesome funny and passionate yet professional were very experienced despite there young ages and Kenny was a laugh too with the shuttle bus you go girls

Brilliant daddy-daughter day out with Red Cat Adventures on the Wild Cat boat with PK, Ella and Skipper Ian. Weather was magic and everything was incredible. PK brought the energy all day as the crew kept us informed and entertained. The team made sure my 6 year old was safe and having a great time all day. Snorkelling and the visit to Whitehaven were the major highlights. Thanks for a great trip! Highly recommend!

The tour is fantastic. Smooth ride and very friendly personnel Riley & Jess. The snorkelling spots are great, the Inlet Lookout is simply amazing. Wish we could stay there overnight.
