As we had already been in Bucharest a few days, she modified our tour on the fly because of our prior food experience and due to the holiday crowds. We had the pleasure of spending a lovely afternoon with Laura on the food and cultural tour in Bucharest. She took us to 4 different food stops that gave us a taste of the best dishes in the city! Laura was incredibly personable, kind, informative and helpful. We felt as if we were spending the day with a good friend. She showed us different neighborhoods, restaurants, cafes and shops. She even sent us a detailed itinerary of the must sees and best restaurants in Bucharest. Highly recommended for a great introduction to this incredible city, the people, culture and most importantly, food.We were the only two on the tour and Emma our guide was amazing. We were the only two on the tour and Emma our guide was amazing. We spent 4 hours eating our way through beautiful Bucharest. Come hungry because you eat and drink a lot. All while learning about Romania's history and culture. And more interesting to us was our ability to ask our guide all kinds of questions that really personalized the experience. We felt like family by the end of the day. This tour is worth every penny and even tho you may find something cheaper, this is the one you want to do. Do not hesitate to book this now or it may likely be sold out when you finally realize this is the one.We went on a walking tour with Bucharest Step by Step. with Laura. We went on a walking tour with Bucharest Step by Step. with Laura. She was great at communicating before the tour. For me consistent communication is a great sign of commitment and ability to help, if anything goes wrong. You want to be sure that your guide will meet you at a certain meeting place, help you if you get lost and amend the tour according to your wishes. Laura was welcoming and adjusted the tour according to our wishes, she was also brilliant in conveying all the complicated history to my daughter who did not know what communism is. I would certainly recommend Laura to anyone , as her company is small and they try to give all visitors the best experience of Bucharest. She can also offer different kinds of tours, whether it is food, culture or communist past. We saw a lot in a space of nearly 3 hours and Laura was happy to give suggestions for places where we might come back during our stay, like restaurants, shops or other museums. A walking tour with Bucharest Step by Step is definitely a great way to get familiar with the city on your first visit. This was a full afternoon of food and information and a good mix of food places; restaurant, market, turkish desserts, coffee and the eclairs to go were a nice touch since we were so full by the end. I loved the hole in the wall turkish dessert place that we would have never found on our own. I also enjoyed Laura's personal stories of her family and communism. I was expecting just a few hours but this was over 4 hours of eating and walking. Thanks for a fun afternoon Laura!Laura provided a fantastic food tour in Bucharest. Laura provided a fantastic food tour in Bucharest. The wife and I do food tours wherever we can and this one stands out. I was actually full at the end as the portion size was good and I tried many local dishes for the first time. Laura helped provide so much local knowledge to the experience and sent us additional tips for the rest of our stay.
