Fun and informative tour. Lots of chocolate to taste. We tried a dark chocolate and oat milk hot drink, milk, dark, ruby chocolates plus a whole lot more depending on your preferences. Sandy did a great job. Well worth the price.

Great time had learning about origins of chocolate and how it’s developed until present day. Delicious tasters from hot chocolate to various different kinds and flavours of chocolate. Fun making our own flavoured chocolate bars to take home. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

We THOROUGHLY enjoyed our (2 hours ish!) tour around this fascinating chocolate factory! Our host Ed was AMAZING – great sense of humour and extremely knowledgeable and passionate not only about chocolate but also about its production around the world and fair treatment for all in the process. We made our own (delicious!) chocolate bars, tasted “original” Aztec drinking chocolate (and saw the face of god in the bubbles), accidentally ate some cocoa butter (lol, much better as a moisturiser than on your tastebuds), and tried ALL sorts of flavours of dark, milk, white, and even ruby chocolate. Such a fun and informative experience – our 10-year-old son LOVED it and so did we! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

The tour was very informative and presented so well by our Guide Erin, she kept everybody engaged and made the experience really fun. The chocolate was amazing! You even get to make your own bar which was brilliant - definitely a must when in Edinburgh.

We got to try a sample of a very rich hot chocolate drink that you'll only get in fancy places at the start of the session. Learnt quite a few things about cocoa beans, including how their growing environment affects their tastes. Had an opportunity to indulge myself with chocolates from various parts of the world. Staff were friendly, helpful, well organized, and very experienced with handling different audiences, including small children. 100% recommend to anyone looking for a fun 2 hour activity in Edinburgh.

Our tour guide Rafi was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Aside from the obviously fantastic opportunity to eat lots of chocolate from all around the world and make your own to take home, it was educational and fun.

I was treated to the experience in Jan by friends to celebrate my birthday and enjoyed it so much I returned with family to celebrate my Mum’s birthday. I had 2 different guides and each did it slightly different which was nice, but the delicious chocolates were still the same 🤩

It was a treat for my seven-year-old twin nieces. They loved it, so did I. The person who led the group, Ed, did a great job of keeping things interesting for the mixed aged group. Changes to my trip meant I needed to change the booking time and the response from the front desk staff was excellent. Definitely recommend it.

A bit of information about how and where chocolate is made, a fun chocolate making experience and a tasting session. Couldn't ask for a better Saturday afternoon If you're lucky to get Jennifer as your tour guide, you're in for a treat! Pitched it right for kids and adults. Such a fun experience and I would highly, highly recommend!

Booked here for my daughters birthday and the tour was great from start to finish. Lucina our tour guide was very informative, funny and made the whole experience fun and enjoyable. Got the whole group involved. We loved making our own chocolate bars and Lucina got the birthday girl involved when making the Aztec drinks for everyone. Would definitely recommend the tour for anyone taking a trip to Edinburgh 🍫

We had a great experience doing the chocolate tour. Our guide (sorry, can't remember her name), was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and personable with the group. There was no shortage of chocolate to taste and making our own bars was fun and now that I've sampled mine, very delicious. It was well worth the money and highly recommended.

After a poor start to our day in Edinburgh, the Chocolatarium brightened up our afternoon. The staff were engaging and very polite. Great knowledge of chocolate and its origins as well as fair trade. The chocolate making process was fun and there was a wide range of toppings to include on your chocolate bars. The chocolate tasting towards the end of the experience went above and beyond with the range of chocolates to be tasted. Certainly discovered some new favourite flavours!

We had a great experience at the Chocolatrium during our trip to Edinburgh. It was ideal for me as a huge chocoholic so my partner had booked it for me as a treat. The presentation on cocoa beans was interesting, the chocolate making was fun and the tasting at the end was the cherry on top of it all. Sandy was an excellent guide and made the whole experience more enjoyable. My chocolate bar also turned out great and tastes amazing!

This was so fun.I liked choosing the different toppings and making the chocolates. And you also learn about the history of chocolate and you don't have to like chocolate to enjoy this it was really interesting then you go into a tasting room this where you test your pallete and compare chocolate from different countries. This is great for anyone it was so fun😄.I only wish I didn't put salt in mine because now it's really salty 😩😊👌👌⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫

Both my 11 year old son and myself felt we'd never tasted chocolate as good before!! My son also felt it was the highlight of his trip in Edinburgh, and I was very impressed that as a vegan, I could be so well catered for. Sandy was a wonderful guide - would highly recommend!!
