Absolutely Brilliant. Our guide Lotta knew a massive amount about the history of Chocolate. The Tasting room experience was always going to be a winner and I still have the chocolate bar I made and now have no desire to eat yet :) Exceptional Experience!
Delightful host Anya was entertaining while educating us about chocolate, from the growing to eating! And there is a lot of tasting! Price is very reasonable for the tour considering you could sample enough chocolate to cover the cost.
Erin our tour guide was excellent, knowledgeable with great presentation skills and kept everyone engaged and interested. We had a great time exploring chocolate - the tasting room was great, could help yourself to as much chocolate as you like! Highly recommended. You make your own bar of chocolates or chocolate shapes to take home too.
What an amazing place and a fantastic host. So friendly and knowledgeable. Such a great value for money, this was a birthday gift which was a welcome surprise. A lovely experience
Wow what an experience! We had Lotta who was absolutely fantastic and so knowledgable. We went for our anniversary and it made such a memorable and special experience for us both. Plus you get to eat a lid of chocolate and learn some stuff too! There was a family on our tour who were quite rude and talking over Lotta, but she was so patient and polite with them even when they weren’t with her. You can tell all the staff are very passionate about their jobs and I cannot recommend this place enough.
I will highly recommend this tour to every chocolate lovers out there. Even if you're not, you might find yourself wanting to try it as they have all kinds of flavors even unconventional one that you don’t think you can expect from a chocolate. It was an enjoyable experience for me and my husband!Bogi our guide was so amazing and very helpful. You can really feel how much she loves chocolate. 🤗
Very enjoyable tour. Learned about different types chocolate fun part was making our own chocolate pieces to take home with us.
The chocolatorium was a fun, entertaining and exciting activity with lots of great jokes and so much chocolate you end up feeling like Augustus gloop (in a great way). Very informative and I learnt so much which I never knew before, if only the mystery of one chocolate in particular could be discovered! (If you know you know) Bianca was a fabulous host and I will be recommending to anyone I know!! Thank you so much for the experience x
Sandy gave us some wonderful information about chocolate and we had the opportunity to taste a number of samples and also make our own chocolate bar. This was a fun 90 minutes and well worth the price.
So much chocolate to try and things to learn. This was a great tour that we found in an Edinburgh brochure. It's just off the Royal Mile, so easy to get to, but we would not have found it in our random wanderings. Erin was a fun and entertaining guide.
I went to the Chocolatarium with a group of teen boys with ASD for our monthly community social. The tour was well organized and a good balance of education and hands-on experience. Our guide, Crow, was enthusiastic and patient and made the group feel very comfortable. The chocolate itself was lovely, with lots of opportunities to explore different tastes. We all really enjoyed being able to create our own bars, with customized flavors and molds. The tasting room was a great way to end, with each person getting to choose a few interesting samples and then buy them in the shop if desired. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I will be recommending it to friends!
Just a fantastic experience for myself and my family. Our 11 year loved the tour and learning all about the making of chocolate. Hands on in the factory would have been her favourite part if it wasn't for the tasting room 10 minutes later. Thanks for the kind host Lotta who was knowledgeable and a super host. It was good value as well for the length of time spent.
Absolutely fantastic! Our host, Lotta, was fantastic. We went with two teenagers who loved it. The history of chocolate was well delivered and lots of fantastic chocolate and drinks to try.
Great experience, we learned so much about the history and how chocolate it made etc. The tasting were fantastic and the host was really knowledgable and entertaining - lots of engagement with the group etc. Making our own chocolates at the end was a highlight and a great thing to be able to take home Would really recommend this experience!
Visited here with friends and it was amazing start to finish ! Def would recommend for all chocolate lovers ! The guide was amazing and provided the history and the production of chocolate ! You get to make your own chocolate bar and taste lots of samples of different chocolate - amazing !! Absolutely great experience and value for money- I will definitely go back 😀
I was very excited to visit the chocolatarium and I definitely wasn’t disappointed 🤩🤩🤩. I learned a lot about chocolate and got some yummy bars and souvenirs
Tasty 90 minutes learning about the lifecycle of chocolate, making your own personalized chocolate bar, and tasting over 30 types of chocolate! Erin was a great tour guide.
Our guide was great, very personable. It was fun to make our own chocolates. We especially enjoyed the "taste test" at the end, comparing various chocolates.
It was a fun learning experience! They allow you to sample a very large variety of chocolates to see what you like. Making our own chocolates was great too!
I went to their tour of chocolate on the recommendation of my friend Régis It was a fun experience and if you enjoy eating chocolate I highly recommend it, your taste buds will thank you! You follow a guide that tell a bit of the history and process of chocolate making and you get to make your own. Our guide Lotta was very clear and thoughtful, she involved the participants with questions and the commentary was concise end interesting. I will return for their truffle-making class next time I'm in Edinburgh and I look forward to it!
