Captain Ron is the best! The reviews speak for themselves! Great experience. Food was great, also learned about about Bahamian history

This tour was fantastic! Captain Ron was an incredible tour guide. He was funny and informative. We learned so much about Bahamian culture! The food was great, everything was delicious. I think I expected a little more food but we did not leave hungry! The walking was very easy. There was a little up hill so anyone with mobility issues should be aware but it’s not strenuous at all. Thank you, Captain Ron! You gave us a great day!

The tour was amazing. We stopped at about 5 different places to sample various Bahamian food. We definitely did not leave the tour hungry. Lisa was a wonderful tour guide. She is very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor.

We love to do a good food tour. We think it is a great way to not only see a city/location but to learn about the culture and people. Our tour was with Captain Ron and was really one of the most enjoyable and BEST tours we have been on. The food was all typical Bahamian fare, from Conch to cocktails. The real gem in this tour was Captain Ron - one of the most engaging and fun tour guides around. His knowledge of the food, the island and the culture made this tour a 10-star tour! Fun and delicious! We loved all the food and were grateful for the option of mocktails. Two tacos at the distillery would have been perfect. The chocolate factory was fun but I would have liked more substantial food. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable.

We absolutely LOVED the Tru Bahamian Food Tour. The foods we tasted were delicious. It was great to get an insight into traditional Bahamian cooking and the tastings were very generous (tip: don’t eat before you take the tour :-) ). The tour also provided insight into some of the local businesses and the people who run them, adding depth to our Nassau experience. We loved also the history that was explained to us as we walked along the back streets - from pirates to churches and lots in between - and the local architecture which is vibrant and colorful. Special thanks to our outstanding tour guide, Princess. Thank you Princess for so generously sharing your knowledge and love of your hometown, your energy and enthusiasm, and for ensuring our experience was so much fun!

Captain Ron was a wonderful guide & host. We went for an excursion with a business group, and had an excellent experience. He was both educational & entertaining without being over-the-top. While the authentic food was an initial draw for us, and Erving a were delicious, he helped make it a complete outing we’d highly recommend.

We all (3 adults, 12-yr old) had a wonderful time exploring Nassau with Captain Ron. The food was amazing and portions throughout the tour were spot on (heavier, authentic Bahamian to start, good chocolate at Greycliff, nice snapper fish taco at John Watling's, and finished with a fried plantain bowl at Art District Lounge). Capt Ron weaved in history and humor along the way. Highly, highly recommend for those looking for something more engaging and fun.

Our guide, Lisa, was great! She interacted with everyone in our group. Our girls loved her. Lisa's energy and humor were hugely appreciated. The food and drinks were excellent. Though, we were disappointed in the amount of food. Two of the stops were for drinks only. The food we did eat was great. But, don't expect to get a lot of food. Each stop is interesting, fun, and an enjoyable experience. But, the overall amount of food seemed lacking due to what we paid.

Our tour guide, Deja, was outstanding. She was very knowledgeable on the local history and took us to local authentic places in Nassau. She made it very a personal experience and not just another tour group with specific spots to hit. The local food and drinks we got were delicious. This was much better than just going on an excursion and experiencing one thing. We got much more than that!

When they say first meal is heaviest, they mean it! Eat a banana for breakfast and nothing else! Our tour lead Captain Ron Pierre was filled with food, culture, history, and fun. I plan to do it again in Nassau. The path is not for walkers and wheelchairs. The food was fabulous. Everyone in our small group of 10 could head Capt Ron and enjoyed the 3 hour tour.

Deja the guide was delightful. Truly high point of our stay in Bahamas and gave us a much richer understanding of the place. All the food was delicious and venues were fantastic. We were really happy to see the legendary Greycliff Hotel Cannot recommend this highly enough

Highly recommend this tour!! You get it all food, drinks and some interesting info about Nassau!! It is a walking tour, but Tommy did a great job of walking and stop and eating!! It was a very balanced well done tour!!
