Stop At: Shanghai Tower, No479 Lujiazui Ring Road, Pudong New Area, Shanghai China
Your professional guide will greet you with your name sign at the Arrival Hall of Airport (PVG or SHA) or Shanghai/Wusongkou cruise terminal port and you will be transferred by the private vehicle to center city (about 40 to 60 minutes). Feel free to discuss with your guide for the things to do list and customize an itinerary based on your interest and layover time. Below is a sample itinerary.
Typically, you will visit Lujiazui financial center first, see the amazing city landmarks such as pearl TV Tower, shanghai tower and world financial center. Marvel at the stunning view of skyscrapers and learn about China opening policy in the 1990th from your guide.

Stop At: Yu Garden (Yuyuan), No.218 Anren Street, Huangpu District, Shanghai 200010 China
Visit Yuyuan garden, a very ancient and well-preserved garden with the history of 400 years old where to see the stylish Chinese pavilion and authentic old architecture. (Yuyuan garden close at 4:15pm and every Monday, in this case, you will visit yuyuan bazaar instead, which is the old Ming and Qing dynasty architecture market with various of souvenir shops and restaurants).

Stop At: Former French Concession, Puxi Central, Huangpu District, Shanghai 200000 China
Head to French concession, the old center of colonial life. See the impressive French style architecture, learn the history of Shanghai during 1840th and take a nice stroll along the walkways with lush trees.

Stop At: The Bund (Wai Tan), Zhongshan East 1st Road, Shanghai China
Continue your visit to the famous Bund, admire the splendid views of old and new Shanghai. Take a stunning shot of the city skyline on the bund.

Stop At: Jade Buddha Temple, 170 An Yuan Road, Shanghai China
If your layover time is long enough, choose to Jade buddha temple. Take a stroll at the beautiful old temple with multiple chambers and impressive buddha statues. See the local worshipers and learn the fascinating religion culture from your guide (Jade buddha temple close at 4:30pm).
Based on your interests, you can choose other attractions besides the sample itinerary, such as Tianzifang (old alleyways with small shops), Shanghai Museum(ancient bronze ,furniture and paintings), Shanghai tower (2nd tallest building in the world), Maglev train (fastest train in the world, can take back to airport).

And my guide Wilson has been excellent. The pickup from the airport was seamless. I got clear instructions on where to meet my driver and I did not have to wait for him. Once we got into the city, I met my guide, Wilson who was brilliant. Wilson has very good English and his knowledge and history of the city and area was very informative. Wilson structured the tour to do what I wanted and it was at the perfect pace. Dealing with the company has been above par and I would recommend both this company and Wilson for anybody who wishes to have layover trip while in Shanghai.Sean_H

Our family of 5 adults (parents, adult children and grandfather) had a 12 hour stopover in Shanghai on our way home from London to Brisbane and didn’t want to stay at the airport. This tour is great. We were met on arrival by the driver, driven to town to pick up our guide. Wilson showed us the city highlights and was very informative. After the tour, we were driven back to the airport with time to spare before our next flight. Tour duration was approximately 7 hours inc travel time to and from the airport. Communication prior to the tour was excellent. I absolutely recommend this tour to anyone with a lengthy stopover in Shanghai.Shlomo_C

The flexible private Shanghai Layover-Tour has simply been an incredible experience. Right after I arrived at Shanghai Pudong Airport I was picked up by my friendly driver. With a brand new and luxurious car we headed to the city center. At the first stop I met my guide Alana who fluently spoke both chinese and english. In front of Juyuan Garden we ate delicious dumplings and meanwhile introduced ourselves to each other. Afterwards we visited Shanghai ´s most interesting places such as Juyuan Garden, a Buddhist Temple, Tianzifang with it ´s tiny shops located in beautiful alleys, The Frech Concession, Pudong with a stunning view from the top of Shanghai Tower and a nice walk between the impressive skyscrapers. During the whole tour Alana provided me with a wide range of information on all the sights which allowed me to immerse myself into Shanghai even better. As it turned dark we drove to my personal highlight of the tour, The Bund or Waitan on the other side of Huangpo River. Looking to the right we saw traditional english buildings built in the 19th century. On the left the promenade gave us a breath taking view on the unique skyline of the city which I will never forget. All in all I can only highly recommend this unforgettable tour as you can take a visit on everything you should have seen in Shanghai within only one day. Furthermore, both the driver and the guide are courteous as well as very well organised which made my 9 hour trip feel like 2-3 hours. All in all, the just make the best of the small amount of time you have in this gigantic city so that I flew home with numerous unforgettable memories.
