What to expect
Itinerary
Discover Scuba Diving is an introductory level. A course adapted for people to learn the absolutely basics of scuba diving with proper theory session and pool training before any ocean dives.
The day begins with hotel transfers, morning coffee and normal introductions. Theory is conducted, equipment check and pool training and with a lot of smiles, a daily briefing explaining the day ahead.
With a planned departure time at 9AM, we head out to Nusa Penida where we will be following 2 or 3 dives ( depending on the package selected ) in the famous Manta Point, Crystal Bay and one of the north drift dives.
Return time is scheduled for approximately 4PM back at the dive center for the TripAdvisor famous homemade donuts :-)

This july i used two diving shops in Bali. One from Amed and Neptune. I had a teenager that developed viral and could not attend. One diving shop adjusted the money , this one was not considerate. The water at nusa penida was cold and the dives gave me and my son headache. When i reported it , i was told such is the case during this season and given it is not standard equipment issue, while we have hoodies on rental. Should they not be giving me an option to rent before going in for the dive ?. For lunch we were told we will be getting the most succulent chicken breast with our rice and what we got was shreds of chicken in the rice. I think it is good for beginers as it has a pool facility. One thing to their credit suits and equipment are good. I am surely not going back to this most expensive dive centre in Bali when i go back in september for some more diving.Guillaume D

We went in the Neptune diving center for a 3 dives (discovery), and we wanted to have a good diving experience in the clear waters of Bali. We were prepared to see few fishes, and maybe if we were lucky one manta. The result ? We saw dozens of beautiful Mantas, tortles, thousands of incredible fishes, and so many beautiful underwater places ... It was truly breathtaking, the staff is so awesome, a warm welcoming, and the equipement is modern and perfect. Julian and our diving instructor were really awesome ! Neptune Scuba Diving is one of those few places that I would go raving on about to other people but that's exactly how I heard of Neptune, from a friend who just said call them and they will handle everything. In fact, I didn't even call them, I texted and booked our trip via WhatsApp with co-owner Julian who answered all my questions and concerns promptly and patiently. His friendliness even led me to feel this might be too good to be true but while making payment online I checked out their website and they had all the secure and legit payment options. Mind you this was all done last min as we had only planned to dive the following day. So far so good. Wife was happy as I actually planned part of the holiday. On dive day we were picked up promptly at our hotel (all part of the service including full equipment rental) and driven to the dive centre which was only 5mins from the jetty. The dive centre felt like a mini resort with a gorgeous dive pool, sun deck, tables and umbrellas, clean toilets and facilities. During this time we were served coffee and Romanian cookies, filled forms and checked our gear. We got to know our dive master, had our safety briefing, and learned about our dive profiles. This really set the tone for the dive ahead. It was a relaxing and calming way to start the day. Julian and Jo, the owners, were on hand to give that extra touch of warmth and friendliness. We did three dives around Nusa Penida, Manta Point, Crystal Bay and a drift dive. Having less than 30 dives between my wife and I we heard that Nusa Penida is not meant for beginners but we did not encounter any difficulty. Neptune's policy is to plan the dive accordingly to your level and to keep the groups small and Ang our dive master has over 15 years experience. As with any dive I choose to keep my expectations low when it comes to seeing anything but within 2mins of submerging at Manta Point we saw our first Manta Ray and they kept flying around us. Throughout the rest of the dives we saw a Rock Fish, Nurse Shark, Sting Rays, Barracudas, a diving turtle, an angry looking Moray eel, flounder fish and your usual assortment of sea life. You can't control what you see but we saw quite a bit that day. Do note that the water can be choppy and riding out can be bumpy so do take all your seasick precautions before hand. Lunch, fruit, water, towels were also provided. The boat was small but that's the case for all the scuba boats in the area. There's not much chance to lay out and soak up the sun on the boat but hey even with 3 full dives we got back by 230pm and still had half a day left to enjoy in Bali so I didn't mind at all. When we arrived back to the dive center we were treated to Bintang Beers and donuts and encouraged to swim, sun bathe, chill, lounge, chat and do whatever until we are ready to be driven back. What a lovely way to end a great dive. The owners felt like friends hosting a gathering at their place. Jo, Julian, the Neptune staff and our dive master were warm, accommodating, sincere with their service but also professional in managing the dives and the center. You really are taken care of and it really cannot be any easier arranging a dive with Neptune.josefune

Neptune Bali is not just a dive shop with great dive sites, it's so much more. Neptune Bali is a dive shop with only the best of the best people as staff, it's a professional place where safety always comes first and Neptune Bali is a home. Not only for the 5 rescue cats living there, but for everyone. After I spend 2 days there I already felt at home and it was sad to leave. Everyone single person working at Neptune are kind, welcoming and more like a friend or a small family than a stranger. Everything is taking care of at Neptune Bali. From the moment you step through the elegant shop and into the common area everything is made from scratch by the two amazing owners Jo and Julian. You can feel the nice atmosphere about every single thing from the amazing see trough glass wall in the pool, homemade trays for coffee and the wall where the cats have a house each. The vibe and feeling you get is that you dive with friends (even though you don't know a single one of them), you eat delicious green fried rice on thr boat (lunch included in the price) and then you come back in the afternoon and have a beer 🍻 I will not just recommend this place but I would encourage every serious and adventurous diver to let yourself have the luxury of joining the team at Neptune Bali ❤ Thank you again to everyone, J&J and I will see you next time (hopefully sooner than later) 👌 Love Josefine Tak tak tak tak takZheyu Z

I've been diving for couple years with about 25 tanks experience among Hawaii, Maldives, Cancun, and California Coast, the fun dives this time with Neptune @ Bali has been the BEST by far. Awesomeness of my experience came from different aspects as follow: Infrastructure: Cleanest dive shop among all I've visited with the mind blowing glass wall pool which you can look through side of the pool just like the "Hippo Pool" @ San Diego Zoo. Coordination: They arranged transportation from my hotel to the dive shop, the driver has always came in early waiting for me to make sure that we are following the schedule given the jammed traffic in Bali Dive sites: I dived with Neptune two days in a row (1 tank @ Manta Pt, 1 tank @ Crystal Bay, 2 tanks @ Tulambum). Diving with Manta never gets old and there are a least 9 of them around the site that I just held tight to the bottom then they would swim over. Visibility was over 100 Ft @ Crystal Bay and the cold water made the best and most colorful coral. The Liberty wreck @ Tulambum is a must, first sight of seeing the over 30 Ft height ship nose compensated the long ride from Sanur. Food: Meals are included and you gotta try the "Green Fried Rice" @ Neptune! Staff: After all, people @ Neptune made this experience extraordinary. Owner of the dive shop - Joe was a very experienced master who's very knowledgeable and never hesitate to pass them along. She really knows how to run her business! I was assigned the BEST dive master - JoJo for the day at Tulanbum. He's been a dive guide @ Bali since 1989 and know the place inside out. In addition to the fish searching, he noted that my buoyancy control was good and eventually turned my 2 tanks fun dives into a peak buoyancy control course which is much better than the one I've taken during AOW certifying. All instructors and staffs @ Neptune are fully loaded with jokes, fun stories and diving insights which I can never hear enough. Lastly, I wanna thank Joe, JoJo, Dongsai, FengFeng, Tanya and many other folks @ Neptune for turning these two days the best and most memorable part out of my entire trip to Bali.
