This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang), West Changan Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100006 China
You will be picked up at hotel lobby at 8:00am by your assigned English speaking tour guide. A comfortable vehicle (non-smoking) with an experienced driver will be ready for you to explore Beijing.
Your tour starts with visit to the Tian’anmen Square, the world’s largest public square. Explore the sites around the square with opportunities to take some amazing pictures.
Then you will venture northward to the Tian’anmen Rostrum guarded by the enormous and portrait of Mao for all to see and what has universally been photographed all over the world.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Forbidden City-The Palace Museum, No.4 Jingshanqian Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100009 China
Next, the magnificent Forbidden City, the largest Imperial Palace in the world. You will spend 1.5 to 2 hours wandering around this amazing example of Imperial architecture and learning about the history of the palace.
Duration: 2 hours
Stop At: Mutianyu Great Wall, Mutianyu Village, Bohai Town, Huairou District, Beijing China
After that, drive around 1 hours to the village near the Mutianyu section Wall and enjoy lunch at the local Chinese restaurant. (Dishes will be ordered on the spot according to your choice at the certain budget)
Then drive around 30mins to the Mutianyu Wall which is less crowded section. You will have your choice of taking the cable car or chair lift up the breathtaking wall and spend a leisurely 1 to 2 hours hiking up and down the various sections exploring the Watch Towers and marveling at the construction and beauty of the renown and legendary Wall. You then have the option of an exhilarating toboggan ride back down or simply return the way you came with cable car.

During a visit to Beijing in June we was recommended Catherine Lu Tours as a guided service. This turned out to be a rock solid recommendation! We submitted the contact form on Catherine Lu Tours website, and received the reply shortly thereafter. The information we received was friendly and precise. A few days prior to the excursion, we received name and contact information to our guide, and she picked us up at the hotel according to plan. Everything went seamless during the day. All was prearranged; no waiting in line. Our guide was very knowledgable and shared a lot of interesting insights during the day. She was also flexible and allowed us to set the pace for exploring the different venues. Her english was excellent. Compared to European standards, traffic in Beijing appears somewhat "risky". Our driver made us feel safe and he was always smiling and in a good mood. He made a strong contribution for this to be a memorable day.
