I did this tour with a college friend and Stephen was our tour guide. The tour itself was around an hour and 50 minutes. He is extremely personable and sprinkled a lot of humor into the tour. He did have us participate with answering questions, creating sound effects for stories, etc. We even had a middle aged heckler on the street at a stop and he handled it with grace. I also think the size of the tour was great and not way too many people. Average amount of walking... we walked more on some tours and less on others. This was right in the middle and would be okay for anyone concerned mobility size other than a few mild hills. Fair warning, a few of the stories aren't the best if you're squeamish. I think that's clear from how the tour is described but it's not all just ghost stories. There's gory history and has its place on this tour. We did think it was a hair long for the amount of stops but Stephen went above and beyond by telling at least two stories per stop. I think for the price it could be a few less stories and still a very fair value. Some might disagree there, but work smarter not harder right?

The story was wrapped so carefully, knowledgeable. complete and interesting. He is so talented! Perfect !

Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the city and its history. He was able to put a humorous spin on some very dark events and made the tour very fun. This was definitely a highlight of our time in Dublin. Highly recommend!

My girlfriend and I are not the type to do city tours when on vacations, but wow, was this one amazing. Our guide Cillian was so nice and interesting, and also really funny between some gore stories about serial killers and tortured priests. We learned a lot of gruesome and dark stories while learning about the history of Ireland in a beautiful city. The two hours seemed to go by so fast due to how interesting and captivating our guide was. Would a 100% recommend to any traveller coming to Dublin !!!!!

Our guide James was a great storyteller. The stories were dark but humorous. It also gave an alternative insight into Dublins history. We took the tour early on in our visit to Dublin, this was especially fun because later on we recognized a lot of places and persons from the stories that James told us.

Great introduction to Dublin, Kieran (apologies re:spelling!) clearly knows his stuff and made it super interesting.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour; our guide Ciaran was funny, knowledgeable and happy for us to ask questions. Enjoyed the mix of supernatural and gruesome tales plus a bit of Dublin history thrown in. Ciaran made an effort to speak to all those in the party as well which was a nice touch. Our group was small which was perfect. Appreciated the recommendations about where to eat and drink too.

We had a wonderful time with james, the stories he told where quite gruesome, so perfect for the dark tour ;) we had a blast. James was very charismatic and helpfull.

James's passion for Dublin's history was evident as he vividly recounted captivating stories of the city's darker side.

This was a fantastic walking tour led by our guide Stephen who was personable, funny, and a great storyteller. We met at the square by City Hall with the first stop being Dublin Castle, where in addition to tales of horror and torture, we heard a lot about the fascinating history. Making our way through some of the oldest streets including some remains of the city walls, old iron gates, and Christ Church Cathedral, we were treated to some very interesting (and some quite gory!) stories. Stephen kept our small group engaged the entire time (what was about 90 minutes - just about the right length for a walking tour, in my opinion!) Highly recommend this tour to anyone who likes learning about local legends and the darker side of history.

An interesting glimpse into Dublin’s history yet not too far to walk. Our guide John was professional and engaging. I went with my 20 year old daughter and we both enjoyed it. I was also pleased to be able to support one of the smaller independent companies by taking this tour. Highly recommended.

My family and I are visiting Dublin for a few days and we had a great time. My father loved the history, my sister loved the darker side of the stories and we all enjoyed James’ humor. I’d recommend this tour if your visiting.
