This Castle, built in the 14th century to house the troops and protect the Alcazaba, is today one of the most visited moments in Malaga where you can walk through its walls with impressive views of Malaga, or enter its Interpretation Center to discover his story.

It receives its name from a lighthouse on its top (Jabal-Faruk, mount of the lighthouse). Although it was used by Phoenicians and Romans, it would be the Nasrid king Yusuf I in 1340 who would make this settlement a fortress.

In the reconquest it suffered the siege of the Catholic Monarchs during the summer of 1487 and Fernando del Católico made it his temporary residence after the victory. In addition, he designated the castle as an element of the city's coat of arms.

Price for the 2-hour tour: between 1 and 4 people, total price €155 (1 tuk-tuk); and between 5 and 8 people, total price of €310 (2 tuk-tuks). If the price of the experience is lower, it is because it includes a discount on the normal price of the experience.
  • The tuk-tuks do not have a trunk, so you cannot take child seats, wheelchairs, suitcases or large packages.
  • Pets are not allowed.
  • This is a private tour/activity. Only your group will participate
  • Confirmation will be received within 48 hours of booking, subject to availability

Unfortunately, we arrived to Malaga and the weather was rainy and windy in March which is highly unusual here. However, our tour guide Alvaro was very accommodating. He had throw blankets and was very knowledgeable to all of our questions. I highly recommend this tour.
