African Home Adventures is proof that a safari doesn't have to be exorbitantly priced to be very decent and a lot of fun. We travelled with this company for eight days to Amboseli, Naivasha, Nakuru and Masai Mara, and everything about it was excellent. We booked the safari through Mr. Albert Ouko, who patiently answered our questions over many months even as we checked out other operators. Mr. Ouko offered us a very competitive price, and any apprehensions we may have had quickly disappeared when we saw that our guide, as well as the hotels and camps we were accommodated it, were indeed very good. Your guide can make or break your safari, and the person assigned to us, Mr. George Otieno, is the perfect balance of seriousness and fun. He is a self-motivated individual who truly loves his job and gets great joy in seeing his customers happy. A fantastic driver no doubt, but he is also full of stories from his many years as a guide. He knows the parks like the back of his hand, and possesses an encylopedic knowledge of the African bush and all its inhabitants. We saw an array of animals during our time there (all except the leopard, actually), and George was at hand to tell us about their lives. Photos are an important part of any safari, and thankfully, George seems to have a working knowledge of photography, always positioning the vehicle in the correct position to get the best shots of the wildlife and landscapes. A special mention for the Enchoro wildlife camp at Masai Mara. Mr. Ouko insisted on it even when we requested a change, and for good reason. The camp is brilliantly maintained, very close to the gates of the park, and is run by a bunch of ever-smiling individuals who are always happy to help. I highly recommend African Home Adventures, and if I were to visit Kenya again, I wouldn't hesitate to get in touch with them for another awesome safari.Lions and cubs within 20 feet of your vehicle, a cheetah and cubs walking next to our rv, Leopard Gorge, the Mara River with its croc's, antelopes, elephants, and even an Aardvark. We had an amazing experience on this safari! The organization from start to finish was excellent - Abednegoh did a great job communicating all the relevant details and helping us get the trip booked. When you book, make sure to ask for George as your guide. George excelled in all aspects of leading the safari. He knows how to find all the animals in each of the parks, including the rare ones like the leopard and Black rhino. He would drive nonstop for many hours to make sure we saw as many amazing animal closeups as possible in each of the parks. George also taught us a lot about the diverse cultures within Kenya, and shared many hilarious stories about his many years as a guide. Great trip, highly recommended! We went on the 8 day safari covering Masai Mara, Amboseli and Lakes Borgoria, Nakuru and Niavasha during which we got to see the big 5 in the Masia Mara with stunning sights of lions and even got to take photos of elephants with Mount Kilamanjaro in the background in Amboseli! Lake Borgoria was spectacular with all the flamingoes. Our guide, George Otieno, was fantastic and made the trip exceptional. He is very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and willing to share all sorts of information . He made sure we had great views of the animals in the parks and his eagle eyes spotted hyenas, jackals and rhinos. Thanks George for an awesome time. Paul joined us as our chef for the 2 days in Amboseli and he made sure we were well fed and looked after. I highly recommend this budget safari and ask for George! My boyfriend and I went on a six day safari to the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli national parks. My boyfriend and I went on a six day safari to the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli national parks. We really did have the experience of a lifetime and saw everything we could have hoped to see, including all the big five, cheetahs, hyenas and countless other animals. The accommodation was more than we could have hoped for considering we were on a budget safari; I would have been happy to camp for six nights but instead we stayed in two tented camps and one hotel. The food was generally good and plentiful, often buffet-style. In Amboseli we had our own cook, Paul, who was great. Most importantly, our guide, George, made the safari what it was by constantly being on hand to provide us with interesting facts about the animals we were seeing. George is a brilliant driver and knows all the parks and reserves like the back of his hand, which really comes in useful when the drivers are communicating by radio when the best wildlife has been spotted! He was also full of information about Kenyan culture which we never would have heard about otherwise. Thank you to Paul, George and Albert, with whom we corresponded by email to book the safari. I would recommend this company to anyone.I and my friend joined a 11-day kenya and tanzania safari tour with Africa home adventure. They provided reasonable price and quality service. I and my friend joined a 11-day kenya and tanzania safari tour with Africa home adventure. They provided reasonable price and quality service. We spent 7 days in kenya going to Masai mara, lake nakuru, aberdare national park and amboseli national park. Our tour guide George is really brilliant. We saw the big five on the first 2 days of our tour already (though sometimes it depends on luck). He is helpful and considerate. He can always find the best site to find and observe the animals. Our cook Paul is also fantastic. We spent another 4 days in tanzania going to ngorongoro conservation area and serengeti national park. Our cook Isack is another wonderful guy. He provided quality food even in the wild. He is so helpful and responsible. He even helped to protect us against hyena during midnight in the wildcamp site in serengeti.
