Stop At: The Longtail Charter and Tours, Ko Lanta 81150 Thailand
Discover the four Islands of Koh Lanta on board of the big tour boat 'Hello Andaman' with two convenient decks and plenty of space. Stop at Koh Kradan, Koh Chuak and Koh Ngai for snorkeling, and take a swim into the Emerald Cave or 'Tham Morakot' on Koh Mook which is the highlight of this one-day tour. Choose the kayak option and marvel at the wonders along the coastline of the islands.
Get conveniently picked up from your hotel on Koh Lanta 1 hour before scheduled departure and head to the pier near Lanta Old Town. Board the comfortable tour boat 'Hello Andaman' with two decks and a lot of space. Enjoy hot coffee or tea with bred and jam while cruising smoothly to the Southern Islands of Koh Lanta.
First stop will be at Koh Chuak, which offers excellent snorkeling on the reef with colorful fish. The island is inhabited by sea eagles which are trying to catch fish around the rocky outcrops.
Continue to the highlight of the tour on Koh Mook, famous for its beautiful Tham Morakot (cave) which can be seen only when the tide is low. The entrance to the Emerald Cave is just high enough to swim through at the right tide. The sun colors the water in a palette of green, emerald and turquoise shades at the entrance, gradually fading as the cave winds inwards approximately 80 m leading to an interior secret beach with clean white sand, enclosed by high cliffs open to the sky.
On the way to the next island, you will enjoy a Thai buffet lunch on board, with different menus to choose from, followed by fresh seasonal fruits. After arriving at Koh Kradan, you will have time to swim in crystal clear blue water and snorkel on a beautiful coral reef on the north side of the island which is easily visible from the surface. The famous mass underwater weddings are held here every year around Valentine's day. Remember that the boat will anchor east of the island, but there is no possibility to go ashore.
The last stop will be on Koh Ngai (or Koh Hai), a tiny mountainous island covered by moist evergreen forest. The coastline is fringed by rocky headlands, beautiful white sand beaches and coconut palms is completely unspoiled. It's the perfect place for walking and relaxing at the beach. When it's time to go back, you won't want to leave this perfect place. Enjoy an afternoon coffee or tea with biscuit on the way back to the pier. From there, the driver will take you back to your hotel.
If you do not feel so comfortable on a big boat, there is still the option to travel by traditional longtail boat. It might be a bit more rough and choppy depending on the sea conditions, but the smaller boats are operating almost all year round if the weather and sea conditions do permit.
If you want to enjoy some paddling around the islands, you can book a kayak in advance via add-on. Please consider that the tour program can be changed due to tidal and weather conditions.

Other people, who went on a tour closer to Christmas holidays, said it was so crowded the cave was blocked like during a traffic jam, which was not fun. Bring a flash light suitable for water, as only the guide has one and it's not enough in the cave. Snorkeling at the beach where we had lunch was fantastic, another snorkeling location was not as good as the visibility was not great but I saw a sea snake for the first time, so that was fun! Overall, do not miss this tour if you can, it's worth it.The trip involves a hotel pick up, travel to pierside, a long boat trip and Island hopping. A nice and slightly rough-around-the-edges island-hopping adventure. We selected the trip with one snorkeling stop. They put us on the trip with three stops instead without telling us. During the trip we had lunch on an awesome beach and visited an incredible beach only accessible by swimming. The workers were friendly and considerate. I recommend it, as long as you’re open to an imperfect experience. Some things to be aware of: they crammed our boat full of people, the journey to the islands is long (75 minutes one way?), they only handed out one bottle of water and one soda per person so bring water, some people had to sit in the direct sun the entire way.Nice big boat and friendly crew. Some ok spots too see. Specially the Emarold cave was nice. But most of the time is on the boat and waiting to get to the next location. Was almost 2 hours delayed when we took the trip. 2,5 hours on locations on a 10 hour trip is to little.

I would not recommend this tour unless you are fine with most of the day being spent on the boat. Going into the event, we were expecting a day full of snorkeling and activities. The itinerary of the event is as follows: - 1st stop Koh Chuak: Here we all got off the boat to snorkel or kayak (if you bough the with kayak package). Not much to see here in terms of fish or reefs. In my opinion this stop could have been skipped. - 2nd stop Koh Ngai: We got off the boat here while they prepared the lunch on board. Very pretty beach and island to take pictures and swim. Lunch was served on the boat, nothing special and served lukewarm. Rice, Fried chicken, sautéed vegetables and a thai chicken curry. - 3rd stop Koh Kardan: At this stop we anchored about 100 meters off shore. This was the final and best stop for snorkeling. Saw quite a lot of bright fish and a large coral reef. - 4th stop Koh Mook: This was by far the most spectacular stop of the day. They took us through the Koh Mook emerald cave. This was the must see on this tour. All stops lasted only 40 minutes each. In the 8 hour day, we had 2h40 of activities and 5h20 of sitting on a boat. All staff was very friendly, kind and professional.
