OK, so what i will say first is the Mihai is gentle, soft spoken and very patient. Now being with my children for three days demands lots of patience and he did it, and did it well!!!! we took Mihai for three days. We were a large group and he prepared us an excellent itinerary and the family was very happy. We were a mix of adults and children and for the most part all the activities were suitable for everyone. (the bear park was a small failure since under 5's were not allowed in - but they staff there were really pathetic with all their ridiculous rules) I found Mihai responsible and proactive and not at all lazy, he always stayed last making sure everyone got where they needed to go, had what they needed, tried to make everyone comfortable and altogether made sure everyone had what they needed and was where they needed to be at all times. i know some guides are lazy and let you do the work yourself but MIhai was always working and taking care of everyone. All in all we were all very happy to have chosen Mihai to take us on the tours and he did a great job. Not only would i recommend him, but i already did recommend him to others and i hope they have as pleasant and good time with him as we did.

We traveled off season (early December) because this trip was combined with some other sightseeing. Turns out this was a great time to visit Transylvania. There were almost no crowds, only exception was Brasov which was the opening night of their Christmas Market. Wonderful vibe to the town. The other advantage to off-season is that the tour guarantees 3* accommodations. Most nights we stayed at a 4* place because the rates had been dropped for the off season. They were all interesting small hotels inside the walls of the various towns we stayed in, Sibui, Sighosoara, and Brasov. We did get lucky on the weather with only a dusting of snow, which did not slow down our tour guide Mihai. Cannot say enough good things about Mihai. Took exceptional care of us and was always happy to explain the history and culture of the local area, as well as explaining the more recent history and its impact on Transylvania and Romania as a whole. Additionally, he took time at the end of the trip to go over the map of Bucharest and helped us lay out our remaining time in the city, as well as calling to set up a tour for us at the Palace of the Parliament. I would recommend small suitcase(s) to fit into Mihai's car and to get up some of the narrow staircases. Do not expect a lot of English on the menus and signs in Transylvania. Bucharest is more set up for international visitors. Our group of 16 mature travellers took a 4-day private tour of Transylvania with Mihai. It turned out to be the most unforgettable experience. Our group of 16 mature travellers took a 4-day private tour of Transylvania with Mihai. It turned out to be the most unforgettable experience. Coming from different parts of the world: Toronto, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Hong Kong and New Zealand, we arrived in Bucharest at different times. Mihai handled the multiple pick-ups without a hitch. From my first contact via email with Mihai to travelling with him, I was very impressed by his politeness, friendliness and attention to detail. He was tremendously patient and always prompt and thorough in responding to my endless questions. Mihai made every effort to customize the itinerary to our satisfaction. He showed us some of the best sites in the region: Peles Castle, Bran Castle, the beautiful scenic towns of Brasov, Sighisoara and Sibiu, the fortified churches in Viscri and Malancrav, the Medieval Citadel of Sighisoara, Cozia Monastery and Curtea de Arges Monastery. The cable car ride to the top of Transfagarasan Road and the Ice Hotel was an add-on to the itinerary and that turned out to be a big thrill. During the tour the itinerary continued to be improved with our consent. For example, with the tour ending on a Sunday, we were taken to a farmer's market near Sibiu before heading back to Bucharest. We enjoyed it. I was inspired by how knowledgeable Mihai is about the history and culture of Romania. He shows a lot of passion for his country and is keen on sharing his perspective with us. We absolutely enjoyed his stories and learned a lot about Romania. Mihai is honest, kind and gentle. He made his best effort to respond to our needs. He helped everyone in every possible way to make sure we were comfortable and safe. He really took good care of us. The hotels were all clean and well maintained. The restaurants he recommended to us were of good value and the food quality often exceeded our expectations. It was truly an amazing experience to have had Mihai as our tour guide, the best I have ever met in all my travels. I cannot thank him enough for helping to make such a memorable trip. I have absolutely no hesitation to recommend Mihai to anyone who is looking to make the most of a visit to Romania with a professional tour guide at a reasonable pricing. This! This! Was the highlight of our 15 days in Eastern Europe. George is a wonderful guide and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed everything but I think our favorite was riding on the Traditional Romanian horse cart through the small rural village. We added it to the existing tour. It was so beautiful. From Peles Castle to the many fortifications learning about Romania from a local was an incredible experience. As a travel agent I would not hesitate to send my clients with I Travel in Romania. Thank you for such a memorable experience Thank you George!
