Best part - apart from the awesome Egyptian buildings - tombs and temples- was our tour guide Ahmed El Desokky. He guided us through Egyptian history using the writings from Pharaonic times - I felt like a history student! Excellent! The cruise boat was awesome and Ahmed had us organised each day...
Best part - apart from the awesome Egyptian buildings - tombs and temples- was our tour guide Ahmed El Desokky. He guided us through Egyptian history using the writings from Pharaonic times - I felt like a history student! Excellent! The cruise boat was awesome and Ahmed had us organised each day to reach our destinations for the day, and also kept us hydrated as it was 43deg average! We also were introduced to our drivers- who were excellent- and guided by Ahmed regarding tipping. All in all, the Nile trip was just awesome- from Luxor to Aswan- felt very comfortable, very well guided and was able to relax, learn and enjoy the old and new Egypt. Extremely knowledgeable and went out of his way to show us intricate details at every stop. Sites are breathtaking but I to say that the highlight for our family was the balloon ride and watching the sun rise. We sacrificed some sleep but well with it. Everything was taken care of for us and it made traveling around very easy as we didn’t have to worry about anything. This was extremely helpful in a country where we didn’t speak the language. Mohamed, the drivers and all the crew were so friendly, warm and attentive. Great experience! *Traveled with family but not teens. The drop down doesn’t allow for adult family options.
