1.21.24 James picked Aileen and I up at Crown Plaza for a 3-hour tour. Being a Sunday lesser cars on the road; weather was cool and wet. History of 'moving the hill' to make downtown below the waterline was fascinating. Art work, murals, using Seattle backdrop for Hollywood sets made TV series and movies more entertaining. Stops along the way included the locks, Fisherman's Terminal, Queen Anne neighbor-hood, scenic overview of downtown, Pike's Market and gum wall! Interesting trivia - Seattle has manhole covers with city map through-out downtown. Find the "white" painted dots on it and visitors can navigate their location. Great experience and time with James. Thanks Shawn with the reservation. Aileen & Mary

This tour was great and our guide, James, was so knowledgeable about the city and an all around friendly person! Well worth the money!

Our city tour with Shaun was great. We were picked up at our hotel promptly and then go a mini-tour while the rest of the tour members were collected. Two young men had come in from Asia and overslept but Shaun made every effort to ensure they were part of our group. We got a great overview of Seattle, with history as well as current day information with no inappropriate comments on politics, etc. We never dreamed there was so much to see in Seattle, and wish we could have spent longer in the city. We had fun as well as getting to see and learn about the city. Highly recommended.

The pick up location was minutes from our hotel, which was very convenient. We had four older adults on our tour. It was a Friday and our tour guide made it clear that he had not guided a tour on a Friday for a long time. His comment made more sense as we started our tour and found the streets clogged. He did his best to reconfigure the tour to go places that would be busier later, so we could see what we needed to see in the allotted amount of time. Unfortunately, this was not an enjoyable tour, as it needed to be more personalized to the clientele on the shuttle, and not follow a set schedule of locations. There were places we were supposed to stop for photos that we just drove by, preventing photo opportunities. There was one bathroom stop after the first hour, but nothing after, nor was it offered. The other party on the shuttle started mentioning their hotel before the two hour mark on the three hour tour, as they were just as bored and ready to quit the tour early as was our party. When we went to the salmon ladder/locks it was apparent that James was excited to show us the salmon. Unfortunately two out of the four in our group couldn’t make the long and steep walk to the location due to age/ability, and James didn’t seem to care who came and who didn’t. We spent a great deal of time looking for non-existent salmon and didn’t go to see the locks at all. I would have rather seen the locks in action, as there was a boat going through. It was nice of James to drop us off at our hotel, instead of making us walk back after the tour was over. Because of games being played at the sports arenas, we didn’t get to see them, yet I doubt anyone on our tour cared. We were just looking forward to the end. It was possibly the longest three hour tour (besides the three hour tour that stranded the passengers of the USS Minnow on Gilligan’s Island). This tour maybe interesting for others, yet we were bored beyond belief.

We had previously taken a Viator tour in Vancouver, BC, so we chose this tour for our Seattle visit. We were surprised and delighted to have Matthew as our guide. He not only shared extensive history and current sights of the city, but also serenaded us with show tunes! His engaging personality, entertaining delivery, and wonderful voice made our tour a fantastic experience. We will definitely be recommending him to friends and family for future visits. He's a keeper!

The bus picked us up 45 mins late and the company never picked up the phone when trying to find out why. The driver and guide was very enthusiastic and knew lots of very useful facts and figures.

I love doing a city tour on one of the first days being in a new city. The tour was great, our guide was very informative, and after the tour we knew where we wanted to spend more time. It was a great overview and some history of the city. Would definitely recommend. Pick up at our hotel was easy and convenient.

Matthew the signing tour guide was terrific and made this tour the excellent tour it was. He stopped by all the sights and pointed out the relevance of each. He really covered Seattle well. There were stops for bathroom and eating breaks and to take pictures. Really good photo opportunities at Kerry Park and overlooking Lake Union.

Our driver and guide, DC, was wonderful. He was very attentive to the wants and needs of the group...from young to old...fast and slow...he found something for all. The information and history he provided was amazing...the people, the land, the resources....we learned it all. Stopped at Fishermen's Center, the Locks, watched the salmon swim upstream, went to the Freeman Troll, a playground near the Space Needle, traveled through many different neighborhoods and learned about each. Great stop for a picture with the Space Needle and Mt. Rainier in the distance. Drove past the Pike Place Market and Waterfront and DC offered great suggestions for restaurants. A great tour to see it all in a short time! Highly recommend!

Mark was our guide. He communicated the day before what time he would arrive at our hotel for collection, and he was ready and waiting for us. We collected another few people and then the tour started a little before 9 am. We only had 3 days in seattle, so this was a great way to get an overview of the city and the places we might want to explore more in our own time. Mark was full of interesting facts and clearly had a love for this city as well as conservation. My children were both interested to hear about the Salmon at Ballard locks - it can be tough to get a 10 year old and 17 year old interested about much at all but Mark did a good job, he even accommodated a stop at the fremont troll for pictures which we understand not all tours can do. Thank you for an excellent intro to the city.
