Absolutely incredible desert journey! Truly a once an a lifetime experience. I got to drive 4x4 across the desert, meet native people, sleep under the stars, and ride a camel into the Sahara sunset. The tour guide, Abdoul, made me feel safe and comfortable the entire time. He was kind, funny, and knowledgeable. During the drive, he pointed out mountain ranges, plants, and landmarks. His enthusiasm to share his culture was amazing and made it an unforgettable experience. As a solo female traveler, I am very cautious about booking things like this but I am so grateful that I chose to book this tour! Thank you to Abdoul and all the staff for making this trip so much fun! I hope to bring my whole family back one day. If you are on the fence about this journey, I can wholeheartedly say it’s worth it!🙌🏼🐪🏜Best adventure weekend ever!! Honestly could not have asked for a better trip. Best adventure weekend ever!! Honestly could not have asked for a better trip. As a 23 y/o girl traveling by myself, I have to be very cautious when booking experiences like this. I can say with complete honesty that this tour was the best one I have ever been on! I rode a camel into the Sahara sunset, learned about the culture of the native peoples, drove 4x4 in the desert sands, and slept under the stars. The accommodations were comfortable and modern. The sand might eventually leave my hair, but the memories will remain forever. The tour guide Abdoul was kind, funny, and knowledgeable. He truly cared about providing the best service possible. Along the drive, he pointed out the different mountains, plants, and landmarks. He was happy to stop whenever I requested it. His presence made the whole trip very enjoyable. I have some food allergies and he went above and beyond to make sure that I could eat food and that I was comfortable at all times. He even made sure to get me back in time for my Antigen test. If you are on the fence about this trip, I can wholeheartedly say, it’s worth it. 🐪🏜🤍This was a really impressive tour, just the two of us and our local guide. He took care of everything and was responsive to what we wanted to see/do and not. We went during Ramadan (3 years ago) so everything was quiet which seemed appropriate given a trip to the dessert! :

I cannot speak more highly of the organization and its people. Everything went fine. Our driver/tour guide, Hassan, picked up promptly from our hotel in Agadir and proceed to drive us to the desert. On the way, we asked for a couple of specific stops which he did without problem. We stopped at Taliouine, the center for Moroccan saffron (pricing much better than in the Souk) and lunch at a lovely restaurant. When we arrived at the camp site, the tents (we were expecting nylon pop-up tents) were quite roomy and well insulated with Berber (I think) rugs and much sturdier than we thought. The camp site was right on the edge of the sand dunes which my boys loved climbing and provided a great view of sun rise and sun set. The food prepared by camp staff (about 5-6 people) was delicious (tagine and couscous were served respectfully on each night) along with a wonderful lentil soup before the meal). Taking the 3 day tour, we just hung out at the camp on the second morning and took a 2 hour camel ride in the afternoon (bucket list item that I don't need to repeat because my butt hurt afterwards). It was nice that on each night, there were two other couples because we able to compare travel stories with other seasoned, adventurous travelers. On the way back, my wife was amazed at some of the rock formations. Our driver did a detour to get us a closer view. Excellent. Instead of stopping at a nice restaurant, I requested that we eat at a restaurant where Berbers eat which Hassan did and we enjoyed a fabulous meal. After lunch, we drove for awhile and stopped at a carpet collective. While I believe I struck a good deal, I am sure that Grandma (the lead negotiator) got the better end of me. Oh well. I cannot more highly recommend Marodesertzagora if you are anywhere in the area.J’ai choisi caravane le grand erg et je ne regrette pas.
