Overview

Begin your morning with a guided walk at 10AM. Book the historical tour with the guide, Kenneth Glover who is the owner of Salem Walking Tours. A commercial tour with heart. While many Salem tours talk ghosts, he instead provides a pleasant and well presented historical tour. The tour begins with a description of Naumkeag, a settlement of the Massachusett people and a colonial English fishing plantation. Learn about Salem's Puritans, their culture and something about the Witch Trials too. Discover also a seaside community with its contributions to the American Revolution. The rebellious town that was at the center of the North American spice trade.
The tour is delivered in an entertaining storytelling style with integrity. He use quotes, anecdotes, conversation, fun facts and traditional song to present the history. The backdrop of this tour are the scenic streets and historic buildings of the McIntire district and Downtown Salem that have witnessed the stories Kenneth tells.

This tour was "hands down" the best thing me and my 16 year old daughter did in Salem. I was born in Salem, so I know a bit about the area, but Mr. Glover was phenomenal - it was definitely not a tour that gave the same old stories I have always heard. He had such a knowledge of the area and kno...

Our 14 year old son loved it and Kenneth had so much information about Salem and it’s history. It was different than your typical witch tr...
