- All participants must know how to swim
- Not wheelchair accessible
- Help us keep your children safe and please book anyone under 13 years old on a Private Lesson (required). Choose the same date/time and your group will still be able to surf together.

- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund

My husband and I took 2 semi private surfing sessions with Ivan during our one week vacation to Oahu. We have had a couple lessons before, but we really liked Ivan’s approach. He doesn’t over-complicate things, we were both up on our boards in no time. By the second lesson, we both had some great long rides. Ivan is super easy going and positive, the no stress lesson!! I highly recommend Ivan and Hook Up Surfing.This was an awesome experience my fiancé and I had our own instructor who really knew what he was doing and helped us individually to make sure we were getting the most out of our time. Highly recommend!

He was friendly and encouraging, 10/10 would recommend.

Also the online booking was super easy and reliable. The two sessions I did were the highlight of my HI trip for sure. My buddy and I wanted to surf and we are not as young as our minds tell us we are. Our wives laughed when we told them. When we met the team and signed up, I knew we were in for a great time. They helped us understand what to do and not to do quickly on shore and then off to the waves. I have not had that kind of fun in a long time. What a blast. The guides were professional, helpful, and funny! Best money I've spent on the Islands in a long time!
