On sunny days, you can see Mt. Fuji from Lake Ashi. You can also experience a soaking foot bath called Ashiyu hot springs that heals tired feet after walking.

Ashinoko lake was formed when debris-avalanche deposits blocked the Hakone River after one of the volcanos in Hakone erupted 3000 years ago. If you want to enjoy the scenery from the lake, it’s a good idea to take a cabin cruiser. (Duration: 1 hour)

Owakudani was created some 3000 years ago during the last eruption of Mt. Hakon. White smoke and smell of Sulphur drift around the stone valley and you can feel the volcanic activity. (Duration: 1 hour)
