Hakone – Owakudani, Shrine, Open Air Museum, and Lake Ashi (Full-Day Private Tour)

On sunny days, you can see Mt. Fuji from Lake Ashi. You can also experience a soaking foot bath called Ashiyu hot springs that heals tired feet after walking.

Starting from Hakone Yumoto station, the tour ends at Hakone Yumoto station.

Ashinoko lake was formed when debris-avalanche deposits blocked the Hakone River after one of the volcanos in Hakone erupted 3000 years ago. If you want to enjoy the scenery from the lake, it’s a good idea to take a cabin cruiser. (Duration: 1 hour)

Owakudani was created some 3000 years ago during the last eruption of Mt. Hakon. White smoke and smell of Sulphur drift around the stone valley and you can feel the volcanic activity. (Duration: 1 hour)

On the food market tour at the Naha Public Market located nearby, you will learn about locally grown products and select ingredients that will be used in the cooking class.

Upon returning to the studio, you will prepare a three to a four-course meal consisting of a classic appetizer, main dish, soup, and dessert. Kinkan-ji temple was built in the same era as Tenryu-ji temple. It is also listed in the world heritages. The Golden Pavilion is covered with pure gold leaves. It is the symbol of Kyoto. (Duration: 40 minutes)

Snack time! Try some silky or deep-fried handmade tofu from a family-run business. Oishii! (Duration: 15 minutes)

This is the biggest sake brewery in Japan with an interactive museum. Here you will try sake, yuzu, and plum sake. (Duration: 35 minutes)

One of the smallest breweries which have crafted, unfiltered, and unpasteurized sakes. It has a locally-famous eighty-year-old sake master. (Duration: 20 minutes)
